THE HISTORY OF THE DEERFOOT ATHLETIC CLUB

The Deerfoot Athletic Club was created in 2000 by Myron Neville and Dorothy Keating.

The mission statement of the club is:  The Deerfoot Athletic Club is a family that runs together for fun, fitness, and health.:

The namesake for the club is a famous First Nation runner in North America called ‘Deerfoot’.

The Club is based out of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, and meets at Rotary Stadium every Tuesday at  6:00 pm for a track workout.  The sessions are for Junior Development, sprint, middle and long distance athletes in all age groups.

Since its inception, the Deerfoot Athletic Club has encouraged every level of runner to find running an adventure with a ‘pot of gold’ at the end–to experience the joy of running!
